Deadlines in June and WCS Update
We just give out a reminder that the following deadlines are coming up in June:
Submissions for the World Cosplay Summit Qualifier are now open. Read over the rules which include details on how to submit your resume. Submissions end on July 19th.
Overflow Hotel: Hilton Palacio Del Rio, Reservations open
Our overflow hotel this year is the Hilton Palacio Del Rio. It is located next to the HBG Convention Center. The rates start at $119 and up. All rooms include a mini-fridge. Go to our Hotel Location page for the rates and discount code. Double rooms are available at this hotel as we have sold out of doubles at the San Antonio Grand Hyatt hotel.
The Return Of The Snow Cone Social – Summer Event
Part of the Summer Events, we’re bringing back the Snow Cone Social one again. Being held at Wonderlands of the Americas Mall in front of Nine-Tails, we will be handing out free snow cones for everyone who attendees. We will also be putting on an informal cosplay contest. There will be artists selling there along with multiple types of gaming. This is completely free to attend.
So come on out, cosplay if you’d like, get away from the heat so you can cool on down. This is happening Saturday, June 29th from 1-5pm.
Guest of Honor: Scott McNeil
San Japan is proud to announce our Guest of Honor this year, Scott McNeil. Easily one of the busiest voice actors in the world, millions of fans know him as the voice of Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing and Gundam: Battle Assault 2 as well as Koga from the hit series Inuyasha. Scott has been in hundreds of shows and video games for the past 3 decades. Click here for more info about Scott.
