The Return Of The Snow Cone Social – Summer Event

Part of the Summer Events, we’re bringing back the Snow Cone Social one again. Being held at Wonderlands of the Americas Mall in front of Nine-Tails, we will be handing out free snow cones for everyone who attendees. We will also be putting on an informal cosplay contest. There will be artists selling there along with multiple types of gaming. This is completely free to attend.

So come on out, cosplay if you’d like, get away from the heat so you can cool on down. This is happening Saturday, June 29th from 1-5pm.

Guest of Honor: Scott McNeil

San Japan is proud to announce our Guest of Honor this year, Scott McNeil. Easily one of the busiest voice actors in the world, millions of fans know him as the voice of Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing and Gundam: Battle Assault 2 as well as Koga from the hit series Inuyasha. World Cosplay Summit 2014 Qualifier Rules are now posted

Rules for the World Cosplay Summit 2014 Qualifiers have now been posted on the San Japan website. Submissions are open starting on June 10th and end on July 19th. Please over read them thoroughly as there are a lot to read before sending in your submission. The winner of the WCS Qualifier gets a free trip and hotel accommodations covered by San Japan for the 2014 US Finals in Spring 2014.

FREE Movie Night – Wolf Children – July 21st

With the help of Funimation, San Japan is proud to present a free theatrical screening of the highly anticipated anime movie Wolf Children. This will be the first time shown in theaters in San Antonio. For information about the movie, go to http://www.funimation.com/wolf-children.

This is happening Sunday, July 21st @ 7:15pm at the Santikos Northwest 14 Theater (7600 I-10 West, San Antonio, TX). This will be a FREE screening to the general public. All Artist Alley tables for San Japan 6 (2013) were put on sale on the night of April 19th, 2013. We sold through all of the allocated tables in around 5 minutes. You may see who made it in by clicking here. If you still want an artist table, your best chance is to submit your entries into the art contest as we will be giving away 2 tables with artist badges for the selected winning entries.

Meetup and Cosplay Show Signup Forms Now Available

As promised, our Cosplay Show signup and Meetup forms are now on the San Japan website. You are not required to use the Cosplay signup form to enter but we will only be taking have a limited number of entries and our on-line form is the best way to be able to participate. Click here to sign-up.

If you are part of a fandom, sub-group, or want to meet other fans from a group, we will have meetup room this year. This will be a great chance for a group together to organize photos or talk about their favorite things. We will be giving to 1 to 2 hour time slots depending on the fandom. Please note that the room capacity of the meetup room will be about 80-100. Click here to sign-up.

AMV & Voice-Over Contests Now Posted

We have now posted the rules for our AMV Contest and first ever Voice-Over Idol Contest. We have changed things up for our AMV Contest with 5 categories this year including Texas-Based. The winner gets a $175 Gift Card on Amazon.com. Be sure to check it out. If you’re an aspiring voice actor then you should check out our first ever Voice-Over Idol.
