YoYoNation forum member Tombstone, over the last few months has been dropping in to the YoYoNation New York offices with a friend of his, unbeknownst to us, over that period he managed to steal what amounts to $10,000+ of YoYoNation stock.

That is my favorite yoyo forum and store right there, I pretty much live on their forums (been on there 6 years) so when some idiot signs up on the forums and does something like this and then sells what he stole on the forum BST I get kind of angry/disgusted.:mad:

The Yoyonation office is in New York and in the past people have been able to pick up orders in person. They are one of the largest retailers of high end yoyos in the U.S. so for people who yoyo their office is like some kind of landmark or monument...some professionals have shot videos around the area and they sponsor many contests around the U.S. and overseas...The main thing is that the yoyo community is just so trusting/willing to let people into the hobby and guide them (I have seen many beginners given a free yoyo to help them out on the forums etc.).

This trusting attitude usually does not cause problems but apparently over time the thief would grab a yoyo off a shelf or something and gradually aquired a large ammount...it is also believed that he was working with another person from the area so one could distract people.

Just look at the background in that video...the store is like an apartment and the yoyos are everywhere so you can see how it would be easy to take something. Not that the people that work there should let people carry bags, etc. but it still bothers me. Yoyos can go for around $65-150 so it might have taken a decent ammount that could have been noticed but as I said yoyoers are trusting people.

^$194. That is a very high price for an aluminum yoyo but it is imported and the company recently raised their prices. Titanium yoyos usually start at $200 and go up from there. Some rare (or special due to material) stuff has sold for up to $460 retail.
