Is there something special that you want to be able to do at the convention but wasn't able to get it done this year?

I hope to be good enough and have enough things for an artist alley table next year and maybe help out with a panel.

I would love to perform as a musical act next year.

Speaking of musical acts. Bit Brigade. They totally need to get invited and play next year. Probably the most unique act in the VGCB scene. After seeing them at Bit-Gen, I honestly have to say, nothing compares to their show.

Bit Brigade would do much better at G.O. than SJ.

I WILL NOT MISS THE SJ FORUM MEET UP.

I would also like being able to stay at the raves longer... I hope that for the love of god they'll start on time next year.

My dream is also to have a cosplay group, make my own cosplay by next San Japan, and maybe enter the cosplay show

*Possibly being able to stay at the hotel.
*Getting a huge flash mob together.
*Selling tons of stuff in the AA.
*Having a kick-ass cosplay.

OOOOH MY LIST
I have a terribly long list.
For all the fun I missed!

1. Sign up for the cosplay show instead of repeatedly thinking its full/forgetting
2. Find a con-buddy who will be more crazy with me at the panels like anime murder mystery and such, and who likes to dance around at the rave.
3. NOT miss the forum meetup because I just HAD to play iron cosplay.
4. Stay later, maybe attend a late-night room party.
5. Get picture of that adorable Izaya cosplayer from Durarara! Along with other pictures that were cool, yet I didn't take.
6. Bring sweets. Cupcakes, cookies, candy, whatever. Just REMEMBER this time.
7. Actually try to keep in contact with all the cool people I meet instead of believing my contact details will travel to them through osmosis.
8. Perform a dancing/singing skit. And a fun one, at that.

Oh, the list could go on. But 8 is a nice number.

1. Be able to cosplay fully with my group, and have an amazing cosplay. Also I want to enter the cosplay competition with something I made with my own hands, and not think that I didn't do it right.

2. Be able to be more confidant on what I made and also be comfortable. I've just tasted a bit of cosplaying, and I want to do more and more.

3. Have a hotel room, and not have to worry about my mom calling me while I'm watching something x-rated lol. Also be able to stay longer in cosplay, and maybe have more cosplays.

4. Not have convention drama

5. Be able to attend the Ouran event. I missed it this year.

6. Actually eat three meals, and drink water.

7. I want to be brave enough to attend H-Fest, and Yuri-Fest all the way through and not forget. xD I just love H-fest this year but I only got to stay for a few minutes cuz my mom kept calling.

8. I also want to make lots of new friends, and be brave enough to ask them for their facebook or whatever. >.< This year I lost a lot of people I had made friends with simply because I didn't even ask their names, facebook, or even their number. Hopefully I find them here, or next year.

9. Have money to buy stuff! xD this year I only had money for food. I need to learn how to save my money!

1. To have all my favorite panels/events not collide into each other so I don't have to make the God awful decision on which one is better and which one should I attend because I always end up like I GIVE UP I'M JUST NOT GOING LET ME SIT IN THE LOBBY IN PEACE
2. Make friends
I MADE LIKE 2 THIS YEAR
I'M BECOMING MORE SOCIAL OMG IM SO PROUD OF MYSELF
and also under this I should add be able to keep in contact with them
3. Maybe have my own Artist Alley table? That'd be awesome. I don't draw enough fanart for attention though.. fff- (before I even try this, wanna give me some pointers and advice if my art is good enough? svei@dA - you'll need to click browse when you check my gallery because I don't like putting things in my featured)
4. Not chicken out on the last minute for Art contest/Ani-Idol
5. Bring more cosplays, BETTER ONES TOO
6. Not ask stupid questions because that seems to be something I do more often at conventions
7. Not to allow people that irritate the crap out of me stay with me
8. Have my own private photoshoot with a photographer omgomgyess

Well, considering all the COOL people you would have met are also on the forum (lol), it shouldn't be too hard to find them. ;D

To be honest, I'm hoping I get glomped next year XP It just seems like an experience you'll only get at a con, and even though I've heard terrible stories about it I want to experience it.

Also, I think it would be awesome to have a hotel room with all/a majority of the boardies

My number one dream for next year is to take my own car. Tired of being at the mercy of having to ask someone to borrow their car, then at the mercy of a driver that doesn't want to stay for the whole convention.

My main dream for next year is that there is tournaments on Saturday that happen in the morning as opposed to when amv finals and cosplay contest are happening it sucks to have to pick and chose.

I was really happy with how well the game room worked out this year but I hope to see it get bigger and better with more games (including anime based once since this is an anime convention).

Other then that id like it to just keep getting better and maybe lend my hand to help next year. Though I am not sure of my ability to help.

This too.

I hope that I can eventually do a TWEWY cosplay group. The only people I know that like TWEWY don't like cosplaying >>

My whole plan is to make it look as close to a real wolf as possible.. (or well, a werewolf as the character may be). I am planning on spending ALOT of time planning and making it.
I want to have a moving jaw, "follow me eyes", and electronics in the face for blinking, snarling, and smiling. ^^ Wish me luck! <3

EDIT:
Actually, my NEW dream is instead of doing Streak, I want to do Ceberus Nora.
Nora: the last chronicle of devildom.

So you're the one who ran it this year. I think you did a good job. :)

As for my dreams for next year:

-actually attend the masquerade (remember kids, never lose your mask)
-have some cosplays completed
-go to more panels
-attend on Sunday
-participate in Ani-Idol (and maybe even win, but being the teenage noob I am, that probably won't happen)

I know it's already 2012,but I'd like to put my list up since I'm still fumbling with setting my cosplay's up and such

1.)FINISH MY FLONNE COSPLAY. . .and hopefully see another disgaea cosplay since there seems to be no one else going as one on Forums TwT
2.)Succesfully drag my friend to San Japan
3.)Go to Cosplay Chess and the forum meetup (at least)
4.)Have no cosplay malfunctions (let's face it,that's impossible, but it's nice to want things right??)

Last year I only cosplayed alongside my cousin, even though I went with my friends :/
But this year I have a cosplay group! And that was my dream *o*

This year I want to have a kickass and well planned out cosplay (which I'm working on now). mmmm I also want to go to the cosplay dating game/rave this year since I couldn't go last year

1. Talk to more people, meet more people
2. Have an enjoyable experience at the SJ dances *heavy, heavy sigh*
3. Consume much, much more alcohol
4. Buy something at the dealer's room that isn't Pokemon related
5. Not stay in a boring panel just to support it >_>;;
6. Take moar pics
7. Actually attend the masquerade, something I've wanted to do each time, but have never done due to lacking the proper attire

Have you had issues at them? I know they aren't on par with a nightclub (because we aren't a club) but I thought SJ4 setup was pretty good. Compared to other years. Any critique?

let me say, first off, that I went to SJ1 and SJ3, and both had plenty fine dances.

SJ4....well...

Everybody knows the Saturday dance is better than the Friday one. It's just an inevitability. That said, I didn't attend Friday's dance last year, so I can't comment. What I can say about Saturday's is...

1) The amount of people was staggeringly low. Was it because the ballroom is just so huge and it made it -appear- that it was empty? Was there something going on? Maybe not as many people that went to SJ in general? I'll never know. What I do know is that it was pretty ghosty. Furthermore, and I know there's nothing you can do about this, it really felt like a "dance with yourself" sort of situation, where people were...simply dancing with themselves. That's just...no >_>

2) The music. It was awful. Every song was some sort of awkward dubstep remix. Putting aside the fact that I hate dubstep worse than I hate peas and country music, it just felt repetitive, and far away from the traditional "techno/house/electro/europop/etc" that is typically there. That's ignoring the fact that there are, also, some DDR songs and/or popular dance hits typically played at cons.

3) On topic of the music, the DJ. 3 times did the DJ's music...freeze? Or something? It stopped, and the lights went on. And it just...threw off the vibe and swag in the room. Obviously I don't know why, but that's just...that can't be happening, especially more than once.

So, I mean, I realize the DJ has to go with what he feels best, but I mean, you've been to enough cons to know the right sort of music. I realize dubstep is the biggest fad since the Pokemon craze of the late 90s, but I think if you're going to drown the dance in dub step, at least mix it up with other genres. Thanks for listening :)

i hope that i can also:
1.) Have/make some friends at the con *pretty shy when it comes to these things*
2.) Finally finish my Will Of The Abyss cosplay (I keep having to stop due to a problem for example, all my fabric being destroyed..... etc.)

EDIT: I meant to add these to mine X3

I realize that this was a thread made a year ago originally with people posting what their dreams were for this upcoming San Japan. But I'm gonna take this time to post that my dream for next next San Japan is to finally host the panels I've been working on for like 2 years.

It's not that I get rejected as it is that I generally make myself give up on that sudden realization that I don't have the time to do it! But next year... hopefully, oh yes, next year...
