BTW Mr12345, the game room this year is 3 times the size. Space will no longer be an issue. But we'll need a lot more more tvs & consoles. Will also be able to bring back music gaming and put its own section.

Already plan to talk to MechaCorps at some point.

Once Chris P. solders my one DDR pad back into working order, and I pay him for one (or three) of the ones he had, I will have three (to five) working metal pads that we can use in the game room. I can also provide some of the 'better' plastic-foam pads. ;D

That way, no one has to wait too long to get in some dance dance action, unless everyone REALLY wants to play the arcade..

I've also been accumulating the games, and there's always Stepmania.

Did you know that DDR Universe 3 can handle up to four dancers at once? O_o

That's pretty cool. ^^

I forgot to mention in the feedback that I really liked the fact that musical gaming was in a separate room than the console gaming at SJ4. But since everything's going to be in one room next year hopefully you'll try to keep that stuff seperate again. IMHO. ^^

Hey, if you can do it for the DDR machine as well as the ITG machine, that'll be great! ;D
Still, there will probably be a line for both machines, and I'm sure some people wouldn't mind the extra pads.

The DDR machine at SJ is mine and that's what's getting upgraded. Stu brought out his own machine at SJ:3 but doesn't plan to do it again.

Also music gaming and regular games would be combined, there would be no plan to have them separate again.

Yes, I knew this. ;p
Or.. did you just get the upgrade pack, and not the actual ITG cabinet? That's what I was thinking you meant, that you had the ITG cab, and could also upgrade the DDR cab, thus having two DDR-ITG cabs.

I just got the upgrade pack/kit, not another machine. I would like to pick up a second machine but only if its cheap.

For me old school is anything from the first NES consloe so hmm...for example Super Mario, but I'd like any and all fighting games so I'm content with that, gotta love them whether its old or new school like Street Fighter 4. ^-^

I imagine that each seat will have either a time-limit or a one-round limit so as to keep a few people from constantly hogging it.

mr12345
02-19-2012, 07:18 PM
not really, just make sure you call your next and if someone is not cooperating let the gaming staff know.

Oscar told me he sold his extra consoles so he's no longer on gaming staff as said he wasn't gonna help this year.

I am gonna bring out my 360 RB kit and Kinect so that there still can be a music section in the game room. Also, do you want me to pick up Just Dance 1-3?

Right now I have 5 LCD TVs and 5 CRT TVs in storage, do you need more?

mr12345
02-20-2012, 06:02 PM
i have 6 lcd and 2 crt plus what i can get from other people should be enough.
i have Just Dance 2 with all the DLC songs, so that covers two of them right there.
also i still got that contact ikkicon had for more TVs if we need them i wanna talk to Jay bout it tho.
so im not to worried bout tvs

Considering the room is 3x the size of SJ4 game room, I'll be curious on how you handle the space.

mr12345
02-21-2012, 12:46 PM
easy, all those rhythm games will be put to good use with good spacing for them.
i can have an isolated sections
-old school
-LAN halo and L4D ect ect
-Fighting
-Rythim
-Everything else

that poll did help alot on which direction to take the game room and the space is going to make it neat and organized.

They had it on ps3 at mizumi con so I could see it being there in some shape or form at SJ. Game rooms are usually pretty similar.

I saw it there. Was just disappointed it was on PS3 since I haven't played on a playstation since the first one.

As usual I'll lug out iidx and pop'n music for those interested in konami's other music game sto have a try.

Anyway re: proz, may I run the dance tournament as I have done each year? I'm aware that its upgraded to itg now. You able to reply with or PM me all the custom songs on the machine you have?

There's over 3800 songs on it, I can't list every single one. It has every DDR Mix from DDR 1 to Supernova, ITG1/2/3 and then about 1500 custom songs. I would have to rip the kit out to get a list.

Edit Add: We're only bringing the DDR Machine and Neo-Geo cab. The person who supplies us the Para Para machine can not make it to San Japan this year.

They aren't bad but they aren't great. If a tournament is played on them there will be plenty of gripes but the casual player won't have a problem with them.

If you give me a chance we can raise the panels to be better the day before or something if you like. I wouldn't mind helping out.
