View Full Version : Karaoke Request

1. Put karaoke in a bigger room. It always gets full, and then they deny entry
2. When people are singing, please tell the audience to be quiet. Audience participation is fine if the singer allows it, but the way I see it, when they are singing their song, that's like "their moment" to sing and be center stage, etc. Last year I couldn't even hear the singers over the audience -_-

How many choices of karaoke songs are there? :D

Judging by last year's con, afaict, it had many, many songs, including Japanese ones.

this is a good thing to comment on, gives the con an idea of what to do!

It was somewhere else, but it was moved here. Kinda looks awkward :/
But yeah, karaoke is always big, and I'm getting tired of seeing people disallowed entry. That, and srsly, no singing when the singer is singing. It's bad enough that like, 80% of all SJ karaoke-singers are like, UBER shy and have never sang into a microphone in their life, and thus it's hard enough hearing them anyways.
On that note, no more karaoke that sings with you! Karaoke = EMPTY orchestra!

I'm down for karaoke

Wait, I didn't participate in karaoke last year, so I'm kinda clueless... Do you have to sign up for it before the event? Or do you just volunteer right then and there?

Ya sign up for a song when you get to the room. No pre-signups...

Yep. Sign up when ya get there, wait for your turn to be called. If you aren't there when called, you get skipped, and probably just discarded.
