The allies never begged Spain to enter in the war. The axis power tried to introduce Spain in the war. After the fall of France, the axis powers strengthened their oppression over Spain to enter in the war. In 1941, Franco and Hitler met in Henadaye, in the frontier between Spain and France to talk about the spanish intervention in the war, but the requests of Franco were too much for Hitler and finally Spain stayed neutral.

We really did NOTHING for WWII other than siding with the Nazis (on the french side).

errrr... the French, to this day, HATE THE GERMANS. They never sided with the Nazis, they were occupied. Biiiiiiig difference.
....did I mention how much the French hate the Germans?
(I got fives on both the World History and US History AP exams, I can't help myself! ^^; )

As I'm sure everyone knows, I am very Scottish and very proud.
My country hasn't been its own country since the 1600's. T-T
On my mother's side however, I am the typical European slushpile, French, Belorussian (if you've ever wondered how I can be Scottish and Jewish... well yeah, that's it)... and then I'm Mohawk as well.

I'm not much of anything because I am a lot of things. X_X I'm Scotch (Keith clan and MacDonald clan), Welsh, Irish, Norwegian, Polish, Spanish, French, Swiss, aaaand like 1/128 Native American. Navaho I think.

I think the biggest parts of my heritage would be the Norwegian and Polish.

@Blitz, being French is awesome. Don't let the haters make you feel bad. My last name Bellomy is a Staten Island standard English bastardized form of Belle Ami/Belle Ame meaning beautiful friend/noble soul depending on the area of France etc. Most people don't know their own last name's meaning so how could they understand another's heritage?

I know quite a few French people who are actually neo-nazi's today.
Yes, the majority hates Germans, but not all of them.
Sadly, its more the American-French who enjoy their company.
Also, relatives of mine, are pretty insane for it.
I just stand back and watch.

So, its no big surprise they don't like Germans.
They are hateful, non-inspired people who think they are always right no matter what.
Fantastic, really.
Though, I will give them this, a good amount of their population is actually hard working, unlike, well the obvious America. Then again.....who isn't compared to America?

That movie is so very up to the hype.
Well, I guess you have to have a love for that time period and that 'Quentin Tarantino' sense of humor.
But Hans Landa, yea, he's the best character in my opinion.

Weeeell it's also my first Quentin Tarantino movie. Don't be too shocked at that because there's LOTS of movies everyone and their mother has watched I haven't seen.

I'm about 1 hour and 10 minutes in (megavideo, gotta wait to continue) and I think Hans Landa is a sexy man.
