That's what hotels do as they want to get the most revenue possible out of attendees and that was the negotiated rate. Same thing has happened with the A-Kon hotel which was about $135 back when they first went to the Adam's Mark/Sheraton in 2005, and it was $179 this year.
Remember, SJ3 rate was $126/night so the Hyatt has creeped up but they still have to compete with other hotels in the area.
Normal rate at Hyatt is $199/night & up.

I really want to stay in the hotel but I can't bring my self to spend over 100 bucks when I live in the area. Its not worth it even considering the gas money. Maybe I will feel different this year since I will most likely be driving my self but idk.
