Two months away and almost two hotels filled, sense does not make.

So does this mean that the whole grand hyatt is filled? Not one room available at all??

I checked the Hyatt reservation link and there's rooms available for Thursday, Friday & Monday. If you go to hyatt.com, it'll say no rooms are available if you try to get a room for SJ weekend. There is another group that has most of the other rooms according to the Hyatt. The Marriott said the same thing about other groups occupying the hotel so other things are happening in the hotels.

Ah I see, well we went ahead and got one at the Marriot Riverwalk last night, but I'm still hoping that if a Hyatt one becomes available that we can just switch. If not I'm still pleased that we'll be so close to everything ^^

Thats really frusterating, because we made our hotel reservations months ago, and were told that there were no Thursday or Monday (or Sunday) available, and ended up having to pay up front at full price for half of our stay.

This was before they released more rooms on those days and I see in our weekly reports that people add/drop reservations. This is all I can say is keep trying. Our room block is the same size next year with the Hyatt as the maximum number of rooms they've released this year.
