Megabus: Less than $10 to get to SJ.

We’ve been seeing and hearing from out of town people wondering how they’ll make it to San Japan as they do not have enough gas money to make it down to San Antonio. We want to let people know about Megabus.

For less than $10 each way from most major Texas cities you can get to San Antonio. This isn’t some fly-by-night company as they are a well-known bus company along the east coast with over 18 million customers served. It even includes free Wi-Fi! They are putting on a promotional rate as they just recently arrived in Texas. These rates are still good through the dates that San Japan 5 happens. The drop-off point is at South 4th & Broadway which is 0.8 miles from the Convention Center. Be sure to tell your friends.

Of course...just my luck the bus doesn't make any stops in Laredo, Texas. A deal that seemed too good to be true and gave me hope was just dashed lol. Well I still have alittle more time...so hopefully someone can give me a ride to and back from SJ.

I'm thinking about doing this as it would save me over $100 in gas money, the only problem I see is the luggage allowance. It would be fine getting there, the only problem is that when you're going back you have more stuff. I'm still trying to decide the pro's and con's

^I'm traveling by Megabus and was thinking about shipping my extra luggage via FedEx. They have a location apparently in the Hyatt.

That sounds expensive x3 I decided to just drive, it would take me an hour to get to the pick up area anyway, and in that hour I would be an hour closer to San Antonio if I drove. x3

I only have about 2 and a half weeks left for the deadline for me to go to San Japan. Is there no one from Laredo or someone passing by this city that can take me to the con? I don't really have the funds to pay to go by bus and the other things I'll need all my money for like a room, a badge, and food for the 3 days. Plus the Megabus doesn't pass by here so that's a drag. So I'm counting on the kindness of a fellow con goer to take me that is going from this city if any are to be found. Why don't you use Greyhound? I just checked online and a bus ticket from Laredo to San Antonio is only $32 for a round trip. May not be as cheap as Megabus but it's a ride. If you need to save a few bucks you could skip out on Sunday or Friday. It may not be ideal, but it'll get you there.

I need a carpool from my apartments in north austin on Metric and Lamplight, to the Megabus location on Friday.

I am very bad with directions, my fiance will be working that day, and last time I tried getting somewhere south from where I am now - I ended up in Dallas.. Somehow.. ;<
