"Squidgy" came about my first days of high school. I was in JROTC and there was a boot camp two weeks before. Our AC was broken at the house, so I had gotten into the habit of pulling my hair up into a ponytail and braiding it into like 6 braids, so I looked like a flail, or squid tentacles. Dad was dropping me off for the boot camp and yelled "Have fun, Squidgy!" and it stuck. Aalllllll through high school. In the ROTC, there were a few underclassmen who for years thought Squidgy was actually my name.

You have such lovely costumes. I really can't wait to see your finished Anastasia.
How did you learn to sew? Did you just start as a kid or did you have someone help you later in life?
    Also, favorite color?

I don't think so, or at least, I don't think it's up to me to decide. To project an air of cool "AF" is different than proclaiming oneself to be so. If one must say so, then the answer is no. I will leave that to you.

Thanks. I'm actually finishing up the little decorative bits now, which are driving me crazy...

I learned from my mom and my grandmother (dad's mom). It started as cross stitch, needlepoint, macrame. Then when I got into college, I learned how to sew properly, but I always did the embroidery or mostly handwork. In grad school, i was mostly doing full construction of pieces for shows. Between grad school and my tour (about 6 weeks) I relearned how to knit and have been helping in my mom's etsy store. I should probably be doing this professionally...

My favorite color is a mint green. I'm a redhead; I need the contrast.

    It's not pseudo-modesty. I'm a nerd, ergo anti-cool. And I am unaffliated with hentai fest. I don't know why I'd be mentioned...

    hmmm...well I haven't made too many....lessee...

at the moment, I'm really proud of my Anastasia that will debut soon, but I guess my Chevalier D'eon from last year...but everyone thought i was 18th century Hetalia? I've never seen that, but I felt kinda fail about it. I thought I made a very pretty man.

I did go to TTU ( Guns up!) and got my MFA in Theatre: Performance and Pedagogy in 2011. LBK is in the middle of nothing. Sure there's a club scene, but there's not much to it. You're still two and a half, three hours from Amarillo or Abilene. Dry heat, though, so if you've got kinda of oily skin (like m'self) you look flawless!
