Hotel & Convention Location
San Japan :3 will be located at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter Hotel in downtown San Antonio, Texas. It will be happening on July 9th-11th, 2010. The hotel is directly connected to the Rivercenter Mall. Inside the Rivercenter Mall is a large food court with a large variety of low-cost eateries (less than 3 minute walk from the convention). Everything is at the heart of famous River Walk with the famous Alamo a short walk from the hotel.
Hotel Address:

[Google Maps] - [Mapquest]
It is located by the intersection of Commerce & Hwy 281 near the Alamodome. This is about a mile from the IH35 & Hwy 281 Intersection.
The entire convention will be located on the 3rd floor of the hotel as we will have over 50,000 square feet of function space to use. Click here to see a photo tour of the hotel. To re-iterate, everything is in one location this time so there is no longer a walk between two locations in the Texas heat.
San Japan has negotiated a fantastic convention hotel room rate of $126/night (normal daily rate is $199/night). This is the lowest hotel rate that you'll find in the immediate vicinity. We also negotiated with the hotel a daily parking rate of $13/day self-parking. The special parking rate only applies if you're staying at the Marriott Rivercenter and the room that you're staying in is under your own name otherwise the normal rate for parking is $25/day. You will be able to reserve a room between August 4th to August 9th at the convention rate if you want to arrive early or stay a couple days afterward.
While you are not required to reserve a room at the hotel in order to attend San Japan, it is quite beneficial for San Japan if you decide to reserve a room as we are required to fill a certain amount of hotel rooms in order to have access to the function space. To ensure that San Japan is able to hold future conventions at the hotel, we highly recommend in considering to reserve a room at the hotel.
Marriott has added additional rooms! Reserve your room before they're gone!
Hotel Reservations must be done online at the website link above in order to receive the discount rate. Do not call the hotel to reserve the room for the convention.

Q) How much is the total cost per room night with tax?
A) San Antonio Sales & Hotel Tax is 16.75% added to the final bill. It comes to around $137 a night. A) Click on either "1" or "2" on number of guests when reserving your hotel room. If you click on any number higher then the Marriott will be charging you extra per guest.
