Terms of Service

By purchasing a Pass to attend the San Japan 2026 convention, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Service. You must read these terms carefully before making your purchase. All communications regarding your purchase will be sent to the credit card and payment processors. These terms of service agreement can be reviewed in full at san-japan.org/tos.

REFUNDS POLICY

Requests for a full refund must be made before July 14th, 2026, at 11:59 PM Central Time. After this date, attendees who have declined Purchase Protection will not be eligible for refunds under any circumstances, including medical emergencies, family emergencies, military orders, COVID diagnoses, or vehicle issues.

San Japan cannot adjust or partially refund pass downgrades if an attendee decides to attend on a different day or if there was an error in the purchase after July 14th.

If you have purchased Purchase Protection and request a refund, you will receive only the ticket price. Refunds will only be issued for merchandise purchased before July 14th. If you do not pick up your merchandise at San Japan, we will not mail it to attendees nor approve any refund.

PASS AND MERCH PICKUP

All passes must be picked up in person at the designated location during registration times. Upon redeeming your QR Code, you will receive a valid 2026 convention pass, which must be worn and visible to access all San Japan event spaces. Lanyards will be provided at the convention.

All merchandise purchased before arrival at San Japan must be picked up near Bridge Hall / Hall 4 Entrance from Friday, 09/04/2026, at 10:00 AM to Sunday, 09/06/2026, at 4:00 PM. San Japan will not mail out merchandise that has not been picked up. The merchandise QR code is required for pickup.

SAN JAPAN PASS AVAILABILITY AND PICKUP TIMES

1-DAY Passes can only be picked up on the date listed on the ticket. Attempts to pick up 1-day passes before the listed date or 2-day passes before SATURDAY, 09/04/2026, will not be accepted.

1-DAY Passes are valid from the day listed on the pass until 4:00 AM the following day.

A Friday 1-Day, 3-Day, Premiere, Gold, or Child Pass is valid to attend all Friday 09/04/2026 events until 4:00 AM Saturday.

Saturday 09/05/2026 passes cannot be used for any Friday events, including events in the Grand Hyatt from Saturday 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM.

Saturday and 2-day Saturday/Sunday passes are valid starting at 10:00 AM on 09/05/2026 and can be picked up at the designated registration area. The Saturday 1-Day passes are valid for events in the Grand Hyatt from Sunday Midnight to 4:00 A.M.

Sunday passes can only be picked up at the registration section starting at 10:00 AM on 09/06/2026.

Sunday, 09/06/2026, passes will not grant access to events in the Grand Hyatt on Saturday night. Sunday passes are valid starting 09/04/2026 at 10:00 AM and can only be picked up at the registration section.

Child Passes are valid for all All-Ages event spaces from 09/04/2026 at 10:00 AM to 09/06/2026 at 7:00 PM.

SAN JAPAN VALID PASSES

All attendees must always keep their San Japan 2026 convention passes with them. If your pass is lost, stolen, or damaged, it will not be replaced. Attendees who want a replacement badge may purchase one at the current onsite badge price. Please write your name on the pass with a Sharpie and take a photo of the badge to indicate that it is yours. Lost & Found is located at the Info Desk near Bridge Hall / Hall 4 Entrance.

All Maid Cafe, Tea Party, and Masquerade Ticket purchases are nonrefundable unless Purchase Protection is purchased. Maid Cafe sessions cannot be transferred to another in-person session, and missed session times cannot be redeemed, refunded, or transferred to another session time. Also, the session time cannot be transferred if the assigned session is sold out.

By purchasing this badge, you have agreed to obey our Code of Conduct and understand that any pictures and/or videos taken at San Japan may be reproduced by San Japan for promotional purposes. Badges are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE upon being physically issued. Badges are only valid if purchased from or at San Japan Authorized Registration. All policies and rules are subject to change without notice.

AMBASSADOR CODES

Ambassador Codes are valid for 3-day Passes only and apply only to purchases made starting April 15th, 2026. They are valid until September 5th, 2026, at 7:45 PM. The payout for redeeming Ambassador codes will be sent out on September 10th, starting at noon.

POLICY UPDATE CHANGE

San Japan reserves the right to update all ticket policies if the risk of exposure to current or new strains of the Coronavirus has increased, as determined by County, State, or National governing bodies or health organizations. Any adjustments made to our policy will be posted on our social media channels and website and communicated to current ticket holders at least 30 days before the closing of our refund policy.

EXTERNAL FEES AND SALES TAX

By purchasing this pass online, the attendee agrees to additional administration fees, including ticket processing fees. Multiple external services add these fees to cover registration administration costs for this event and to use an external third-party ticket processor. A $3 Henry B. Gonzalez Facility Fee is applied to every attendee pass. 8.25% Texas Sales Tax is included in the overall price. The receipt lists these fees.

Attendees who do not agree to these fees may purchase a pass in person at the convention for the maximum MSRP ticket price, including any applicable sales tax and building fee.

CODE OF CONDUCT

By purchasing this pass, all San Japan attendees agree to adhere to our Code of Conduct, available at san-japan.org/plan/policies. Attendees whose passes are revoked without refund if they are asked by staff, security, or police to leave the convention or convention-leased properties will forfeit their passes.
