Is Pita-Ten still popular?

I really would like cosplay as Misha from Pita-Ten but I also want to be someone that is well-known, but not over-done.

I went as Hell Girl last year and no one knew who I was. They just thought I was Saya from Blood+.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I also have a Lightning cosplay from Final Fantasy but I'm not ready to wear it just yet (mainly for Ikkicon).

I loved that series, although, not a lot of people know of it. It was more in the background during the period of Naruto, Bleach, and a couple of other really popular animes/manga....but I would know who you are!
